Bee Venom Face Cream

Heyyy!

I follow this makeup artist on social media called Fern Howe. (Her instagram is fern_makeup). Fern's work is amazing and she's recently been a regular makeup artist for the likes of Katie Price, Stephanie Davis and Bianca Gascoigne.
And there's one particular product I've noticed she always uses for a completely flawless base.

Bee Venom!

I'd never heard of Venom Skincare before. But the more pictures I saw the more I felt I NEEDED to try it.
So I googled it and for a 50g  jar it's £45! Now I know that's pretty reasonable compared to many high end creams but for me, a drugstore lover, I thought 'Wow, can I really justify spending that on a face cream?'.
Baring in mind I am totally in love with an Avon day/night cream at the moment...

Anyhow, time passed and I saw Fern post a status with a 20% discount code for the cream.
£9 off.. how could I resist! £36 is acceptable right?
Well I decided it was so I went for it.

Delivery time was around 3 days which was great.

Claims
·  Firms and tightens fine lines and wrinkles
·  Increases production of collagen
·  Long lasting hydration and moisturising
·  Revitalises the skin and rebuilds the skin barrier
·  Reduces negative effects of sun exposure
·  Clean and clear skin
·  Fights spots and acne breakouts
Application
On trying this for the first time I really liked the consistancy of the cream. It felt super hydrating and moisturising without feeling like a thick heave cream. Having oily/combi skin I don't always enjoy a cream that feels heavy on my face.
Smell
I wasn't sure what kind of scent to expect and still to this day I couldn't describe it. But it has a pleasant scent.
Overall thought
I definitely feel as if this worked really well as a base before makeup. Even to the point of not needing to use a primer. It was like a 2 in 1 product for me.
In all honesty most of the time I've been unsung this in the mornings only BUT when I have used it morning and night my skin stays clean and clear.
This picture was taken with just natural day light. Skins looking flawless!

Is it worth £45.....?
I'm not entirely sure I could justify spending this all the time however when there's 20% off I definitely would.

New brows!

Hey hey my beauties!

Sorry for being a little MIA recently. Life has been its normal hectic self, and also I've had a few products that I've been waiting to use for a few weeks before writing a blog on them.

So today is all about brows. Those of you who know me, will know I LOVE me a new brow product.
My friend Hannah does Avon and told me about a new gel brow product that they have coming out and asked if I wanted to try it. Of course I said yes.

There's 4 shades to choose from and I choose soft brown. I based this choice on what I already use by Freedom. The retail price of this is £7 which is a good price as these products last so long.

Application
On first application I really liked the feel of the formula. It's really creamy and glides on.
Colour
The shade is a tad dark for me, however I didn't mind. Plus once I change my hair at the end of the month it will match fine. I may buy this in the blonde shade too anyway.
Lasting power
My biggest test for this would be how it sets and last for the day. The Freedom brow pomade is the only other product I've used similar to this so I compared a lot to that one as I really like it. But just like the that one, the Mark perfect brow gel pot lasted so well! Didn't smudge at all.

So based on all of that I'm really enjoying using this product and for those of you who like a pomade brow product, this is definitely recommended.

And for anyone who loves Avon I'll add Hannah's online store link here, where you can order from if you wanted:
